Hey girl, it's a baby!

Ok, I'm sure that everyone is wondering why the frequency of posting has dropped off recently and now I can finally reveal the reason for this.
Introducing Baby Sunshine, a brand new little future Office Lady carrying 50% of my DNA. I admit that I was hoping for a baby Salaryman who could continue the family tradition of my blog and carry it forward for generations to come, but I have made my peace with a little Office Lady.

As you understand, this will kick-off a new series of posts that I will call "Making Babies in Japan" since there's quite a number of interesting stories around that, mind you, the actual baby making process I will not go into any detail in since I believe there are many people much more suitable to do that.

But rest assured, the blog will not turn into a fully fledged baby blog because of this!

So cute! Where are her feet? :D

Corinne - Thank you thank you! Is two the conventional target age? I was thinking 2 for tea and then 3 to bring and open me cans of beer? Is this realistic you think?

Taarne - Thank you thank you!

Anonymous - Yep, I'm glad you noticed that, that's why I liked the picture!

Climate - Well, I must admit to some bias here, but she's very cute and I think that she has both legs and feet (two of each) hidden somewhere under everything!

Congrats to you and Mrs Sunshine Salaryman.

Congratulations!

She might surprise you and take over the blog and maybe turn it into a whole media industry with her own reality show spin-off and franchise!

Sorry Kaba.

I agree with Mr. Salaryman and doubt that a girl could do an equally good job as a Salaryman-blogger.

At least not worth the same salary.

@Martin

obviously since she is a girl, she'll earn about 30% less and the nice orange will be changed to bright pink...

Congratulations! Oooh, how cute! etc.

Please promise me one thing, that you won't inflict the Curse of Hello Kitty on her?

Congratulations! Welcome to a new world of interesting smells.

My 2-year-old can already recognise which mug is my personal tea mug, but I don't think I'm quite ready to trust him to bring it to me while there's anything in it.

Hey..Congrats to you...and a big welcome to the little one !!

Thank you thank you to everyone!
Kaba - Earing 30% less than I currently do on this homepage would put her -30% in profitability and have her spend money on it...

Penguin - I'm really sorry here, but I'm actually a secret fan of Hello Kitty... HK worship will be encouraged, I hope you will still respect me in the morning...

David - Well, I mostly use new cans of beer every time, so maybe I should start with that then instead?

Stepherie - Yep, while most Japanese failures are "cute gone wrong" this is a case of "cool gone wrong"... and like Martin said, one of them apparently wet him/herself

ThePenguin said...

So sad. I should have abandoned you to your fate, that night in Ikebukuro.

Mr. Salaryman said...

Penguin - You should be thankful that I didn't put you in the "would you kill Hitler if you had the chance" dilemma!

.......she's doing a 'seven' pose.
Rest assured, she knows how to pose before a camera. Doing it via blog will only be a matter of time (and interest.)
