I have heard horror stories about smaller national airlines in developing countries and food served on those planes earlier, but that's a slightly different league, this is an International airline that charges market prices and this is what they served... Is this something that you would even serve your worst enemy?!

skip the stuff and just eat the ketchup. :p
Looks like some shiitake, carrots cut into cute flower shapes, green beans, konnyaku, some kind of shoyu'd fish, and seasoned rice. The pink things are... ume? some kind of fish cake? Isn't that pretty typical of bentos? I've sampled a lot of eki-ben since I've been here and your airplane food is just a less well-presented version of that. Did they give you miso soup with it, too?
