Disasters outside, disasters inside

Little Baby Sunshine has recently started to be able to move on her own accord, granted it doesn't seem like she's in much control of the direction where she ends up, but somehow she can move really quickly now twisting and turning on her butt.

After Mrs. Sunshine left her unsupervised for one minute to go to the bathroom (don't worry, we've removed most of the poisonous stuff we keep on the floor), this is the sight that met her when she came back... No point in worrying too much about the disasters outside since we seem to have a little 10kg disaster inside the house.

(ok, everyone, feel free to go wild with "oh, so cute" and "she's adorable" in the comments section!)

Aww. She is so cute. And fast. Look at all those scattered DVDs. XD

She is very cute. Expect everything that she can get her mouth to to get sucked on. I'm told that dirt is good for babies as it helps their immune systems. The Japanese mania for cleanliness clashes directly with that.

Hence a cousin's son was sucking on the gym floor where we left him while playing badminton. We left him by the side of the court, and 5 minutes later, just followed the trail of slime....

Um...
You keep poisonous stuff on the floor?

I'm just kidding. I always keep the poisonous stuff on the floor...everybody does....right?

I was trying so hard to make a sarcastic smart-arse comment but I can't. She really is that cute.

Won't be so cute when she figures out how to open the cases though, I learnt some lessons the hard way when I discovered beloved DVDs with sticky little finger prints all over them! I recommend high shelving.

So cute!

My daughter chewed up a number of CDs and DVDs when she was at that stage.

Mobile plus curious plus teething...

L - Yeah, she's moving way too fast now, just a week ago she stayed mobile, maybe we should chain her to the floor?

Aimless - Yep, everything goes in the mouth, but we're not that clean in our house, we've got plenty of dirt lying around, so we can pretend it's to build up her immune system!

Chris - Haha, well, we actually do... Those nasty cockroaches you know... Not that we've even had a hint of one since we moved into the house a year ago, but better to be safe than sorry! Now we've just temporarily relocated the traps to not catch the baby in them by mistake

Fernando - Nice, you noticed, considerably more expensive than DVD movies too mind you

Corinne - What can I say, she's got the looks but not the smarts, but hey, she's a 75% Japanese girl, being dumb and cute is seen as positive over here so she's all set!

Rmilner - Well, this one is not yet smart enough to open them, but we're going to have to get a cabinet with doors pretty soon I guess to avoid her ruining everything I've worked for.

Like Corinne my smart-arsedness is overcome by cute. In fact I want one just like that. How can I make that happen? Are there instructions available on the internet?

Yes, the dubious state of the house is solely to benefit the kid's immune system. Such a sacrifice!

I just noticed that she is awfully pink, already.

Josefin - Hon ar onekligen sot, men hon behover dresseras battre...

Octo - Well, we are getting a bit bored with this one, how many JTPR would you pay for her?

Aimless - Yes, she is very pink, but I'm quite ok with that and she even has hello kitty clothes!
